A hilly strip of land which is 300 km long and 100 km wide is located in the eastern part of India is called the “abode of the clouds”. This state is called Meghalaya and is shares its boundary with Assam and frontier with Bangladesh. The capital of the state is Shillong and one third of the area of the state is forested.The forested area of the state has varied fauna and flora which is great treat for any nature lover.
