After the death of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb in 1707 AD till the first war of Independence in 1857, India saw the gradual growth of the European influence in India transferring from medieval values of Indians to western values of European worlds. The Europeans had brought with them the modern values of society like liberty, equality and fraternity, modern democracy, nation and state, equality before law, introduction of railways, telegraphs, airways and many other values which were completely new to this medieval land of India. They have also introduced the modern means of production i.e Industrialization created the new market values other than the agriculture one. All these discoveries, inventions, renovation, innovation worked as bridge between the two periods of medieval India to modern India. |
