Shape and size-
Indian elephants are largest mammals among the other species of animals. Its height can be up to 6.4 meter and weighted between 2.7 and 4.5 tonne. They have large trunk and skull but small ears. They are very social animals and can easily adapt with the human surrounding. Although they prefer to live in group but few live in solace. Females are the group leaders, lead the whole group. Indian Elephants can sleep on standing position.
Indian elephants are found almost all over India that includes sub Himalayan region, North-east Indian and south India and in wildlife sanctuary, they are used as safari travel.
