Wandur national park, also known as Mahatma Gandhi national park, is considered as one of the best marine national park in India. Situated in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, The parks is established in 1983. It is located 30 km from the Port Blair, the capital of the union territory, compromises more than 12 Islands, an ideal home for the aquatic life.
The islands are covered with densely and mangrove forests which make it a perfect destination for the wildlife seekers and open spaces are filled with bushes and shrubs. As you enter the park you will mesmerized by the beauty of tropical flowers orchids, broken branches and fallen leaves spreaded over the path of the jungles. The most enchanting features of the park are its mangrovness .It is loaded with evergreen trees especially coconuts palms, grown up around the coastal areas.
The Wandur national park is the perfect place for the exploring the natural wealth of the Andaman and Nicobar islands. Here you can find some endangered birds such as Leatherback, Hawksbill, Olive Ridley and Green Turtles. It is a prime shelter to some danger crocodiles; in fact, their population is much higher than human being who used to live here.

Jollybouy- one of the most sought after destination, it is situated in amidst of the park. It is notable for its sandy beaches of its northern parts. Walking around the beaches you can explore the marine life where sea cucumbers, anemones, starfish, cowries, turbots and spider conchs can be seen.
Redskin island- The Island is one of the most visited tourist destination, notable for the deer, inhabited by British. Reachable by boats, it is famous for golden sandy beaches and caves, expanded along with northern cliffs. The most striking feature of the island is mangrove stands along the eastern and western creeks. Tarmugli across the channel is notable for stunning coral reefs.
